About
We were established in 1923 and have been patrolling Opunake Beach ever since. We are a community club and offer a wide range of activities for junior and senior members. We celebrated our 100 year centenary in 2023!
Our priority is to ensure Opunake Beach is patrolled during the weekends over the summer period, and also form part of the after hours Rescue Squad for sea / foreshore search & rescues. We are a fun, friendly club and we embrace our community spirit. We offer junior surf for 7 year olds up (mainly). We do Junior Surf on Sunday's at 10am.
We welcome memberships for junior, senior and families. We are a voluntary organisation and would like to thank all those that help us being able to provide lifesaving services to our community.
